Asa Abbott Sargent 
Asa Abbott was born on January 7th, 1820 in Bradford, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Asa Abbott's father was Trueworthy Sargent and his mother was Mary Abbott. His paternal grandparents were James Sargent and Polly Roach. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Shepard D., Jerome B., Oliver, Lurena and Miriam. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 on June 15th, 1897 in Lincoln, Nebraska.-
