John Raleigh 
John was born about 1330 in Nettlecombe, Williton, Somerset, England. John's father was John Raleigh and his mother is Margaret Le Bret. His paternal grandfather was Simon De Ralegh and his paternal grandmother is Joan Le Tort; his maternal grandparents were Richard Le Bret and Joan. He was an only child. He died in 1372.General Notes
Sir John Raleigh, of Nettlecombe, Somersetshire. Knight of the Shire forSomerset 1359 and 1360 and Sheriff of Somersetshire and Dorsetshire 1359-1360. In 1347 he inherited all the family estates in Wales upon the death of his uncle, Simon Raleigh, and with the deaths of his two brothers without issue he also came into possession of the Tort estates.
