Josephine was born on September 19th, 1876 in Wanship, Summit, Utah. Josephine's father was Joseph Phillips and her mother was Sarah Lovisa Roundy. Her maternal grandparents were Jared Curtis Roundy and Louisa Jenne. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Joseph Curtis, Lyle Edwin, Ernest Wayne, Lovisa or Jenne, Edna May, Lula Mavo, Blanche, Florence and Evelyn Irene. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 88 on October 17th, 1964 in Tooele, Tooele, Utah. She was buried on October 22nd, 1964 in Tooele, Tooele, Utah.-
