Ray Charles Matkin 
Ray Charles was born in 1884. Ray Charles' father was George Edward Matkin and his mother was Catharine E. Cobb. His maternal grandparents were Jedediah Cobb and Nancy A. Hillard. He had four brothers named Clarence, Harry H., Roy F. and Frederick O.. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 65 in 1949.-
