Joseph W. Lakin 
Joseph W. was born in 1839 in 7th District, Boone County, Indiana. Joseph W.'s father was William H. Lakin. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John W., Leonard S., William N., Frank Asbury, Mary E., Sarah L. and Edna. He is the third oldest of the eight children.
‌Joseph W. and Mary were married in a religious ceremony about 1869 in Henry Co., Indiana.
