George was born on January 19th, 1853. George's father was Nehemiah Hull and his mother was Hannah Southwick. His maternal grandparents were Jonathan Southwick and Martha Irish. He had a brother and two sisters, named Daniel, Ruth and Lydia. He was the youngest of the four children.-
