Ebenezer was born in 1834 in Chatfield, Crawford County, Ohio.  Ebenezer's father was Peris Hillard and his mother was Clarrisa Kimball.  His maternal grandparents were Daniel Kimball and Sarah. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, George Washington, William Henry, Nancy A., Rebecca, Rhoda Ann, Sarah and Charlotta.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1900 in Hillsdale County, Michigan.  He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Ransom, Hillsdale County, Michigan.

‌Ebenezer and Susanna were married in a religious ceremony on October 25th, 1855 in Lenawee County, Michigan.  They had three sons and four daughters, named Austin, Elmer, Everett, Florence, Eva, Anna Almira and Sadie H..

‌Ebenezer and Rhoda Ellen were married in a religious ceremony on March 10th, 1873 in Ransom, Hillsdale County, Michigan.  They had a son and two daughters, named Everett, Anna Almira and Sadie H..

He had two biological sons and a biological daughter, named Erving, Samuel and Florence.
