Margaret was born in 1315 in Castle, Badlesmere, Kent, England. Margaret's father was Bartholomew De Badlesmere and her mother was Margaret De Clare. Her paternal grandparents were Guncelin De Badlesmere and Joan Fitzbernard; her maternal grandparents were Thomas De Clare and Juliane Fitzmaurice. She had two sisters named Margery and Elizabeth. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 29 in 1344.-
