Giles Daubeny 
Giles was born before 1336 in Shepton, Somerset, England. Giles' father was Ralph De Aubeney and his mother was Alice De Montagu. His paternal grandparents were Elias (Helis) De Albini and Joan (Nmn-Elias) De Albini; his maternal grandparents were William III 2Nd Baron De Montagu and Elizabeth De Montfort. He was an only child. He died on June 24th, 1386 in Barrington, Somersetshire, England.General Notes
SIR GILES DAUBENEY, of South Ingleby, South Petherton, &c., son and heir, by 1st wife. On 14 October 1351 he had letters stating that, though born out of the King's allegiance, he might nevertheless enjoy his inheritance. In Oct. he bought the manors of Kempton, Beds, and Tottenham, Middlesex from William Daubeney and Philippe his wife, for 200 marks. Sheriff of Beds and Bucks, 1379-80. Knigt of the Shire for Somerset 1382, 1383 & 1384.
He married, soon after 5 January 1358/9, Alianore daughter of Sir Henry DE WILINGTON, of Umberleigh, Devon, Poulton, co. Gloucester, &c., by Isabel, daughter of Sir John DE WALESBREU, of Lamellen and Lancarfe, Cornwall. He died 24 June 1386, at Barrington, Somerset. His widow's dower was ordered to be assigned, 8 August 1386. She died 6 August 1400, and was buried at Kempston. [Complete Peerage IV:97-8, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
