Romeyn Elbert was born on January 9th, 1911 in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon. Romeyn Elbert's father was Newton Romeyn Adams and his mother was Anna Lueltha Crawford. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Sewell Adams and Martha Britann Welch. He had three sisters named Dorothy Lorena Grace, Catherine Virginia and Cara Lueltha. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Gordon Kenneth, Olive Alene, Ethel Lillian and Mary Marjorie. He died at the age of 39 on May 23rd, 1950 in Tigard, Washington County, Oregon.-
