Charles II was born in Frankfurt, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.  Charles II's father was Louie I "The Pious" King Of France and his mother was Judith Of Bavaria.  His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne Unknown and Hildegard De Swabia; his maternal grandparents were Guelph II Graf Von Altdorf and Edith Of Saxony. He had a brother and three sisters, named Charles II Caroligian, Gisele D', Gisela and Gisela. He had a half-brother named Louis II.  He died in Brides Les Bains, Bourgogne.  He was buried in St Denis, , France.
