John Henry Hoffman 
John Henry was born on September 4th, 1852 in Ringgold District, Washington County, Maryland. John Henry's father was Matthias Hoffman and his mother was Lucinda Beaver. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Hoffman and Magdalena Stouffer; his maternal grandparents were Philip Beaver and Barbara Ann Snodderly. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jacob Beaver, Samuel Milton, Charles Philip, Clara Alice and Anna May. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 104 on October 20th, 1956.-
