Roger was born about 1020 in Pont-audemer, Normandy.  Roger's father was Omfroi De Vielles and his mother was Aubreye De La Haye.  His paternal grandparents were Thorold and Woerta Haraldsdottir; his maternal grandfather was Ranulf de la Haye. He had two brothers and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Robert, William, Albreda and Dunelme.  He died about 1094 in Strurminster Marshall, Dorsetshire, England.  He was buried in Abbey de Preaux, Pontaudemer, Normandy, France.1 


Roger's family with Avelina (Adelise) De Meulent

‌Roger and Avelina (Adelise) were married in a religious ceremony in 1040 in Ile-de-France, France.  They had three sons and a daughter, named Henry of Warwick, Robert I, William and Aubreye.
