James Nelson was born about 1860. James Nelson's father was Joshua Judson Cloer and his mother was Charity Louisa Bates. His paternal grandparents were Elijah B. Cloer and Sarah Howard; his maternal grandparents were William Bates and Christeena Carpenter. He was an only child.General Notes

I do know that she was born Jan 23, 1864 in Macon County NC..she married James Nelson Cloer on Jan 18, 1882. She was baptized "into the fellowship of the Baptist Church" by J G Pulliam on April 5, 1885. She died on Oct 12, 1895 and was buried on Oct 13 at the Mt Zion Methodist Church.
