Mary Bates

Mary was born about 1861. Mary's father was Robert W. Bates and her mother was Elmira Allen. Her paternal grandparents were William Bates and Christeena Carpenter. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry C., John W., James R., Napolean S., Sarah and Ida L. Bates (1870. She was the oldest of the seven children.
