Jefferson Barfield 
Jefferson was born about 1842. Jefferson's father was John Barfield and his mother was Margaret Bolls or Boles. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Hatcher and Sarah Jane Floyd. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Stephen, John W., Sarah J., Elizabeth and Camariece. He was the third youngest of the six children.-
