Henri, known as The Liberal, was born in 1127 in Champagne,France. The Liberal's father is Comte de Blois et Champagne Theobald de Blois IV and his mother was Princess of Carinthia Mahaud(Matilda) von Sponheim *. His paternal grandfather is Etienne Henri de Blois II and his paternal grandmother was Adela(Alice) de Normandy; his maternal grandfather is Duke of Carinthia Engilbert von Sponheim II and his maternal grandmother was Utha *Sulzbach. He had a brother and four sisters, named The Good, Marie, Agnes, Alix(Adele) and Elizabeth. He is the oldest of the six children.-
