Henry was born on November 11th, 1050 in Goslar,Lower Saxony,Niedersachsen,Germany.  Henry's father was Henry (The Black) III and his mother was Duchess of Bavaria Agnes d'Aquitaine.  His paternal grandfather was Holy Roman Emperor Konrad II and his paternal grandmother is Countess of Swabia Gisele von Schwaben; his maternal grandparents were Comte de Poitou, Duc d'Aquitaine William III and Comtess de Burgundy Agness of Burgundy. He had a brother and four sisters, named Konrad, Sophia(Agnes), Maud, Matilda and Judith Marie.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 55 on August 7th, 1106 in both Liege,Belgium and Luttke-Hoh,Sundren,Nordrhein-Westphalen, Germany are listed.  He was buried in Cathedral of Speyer,Liege,Belgium.


Henry's first family with Countess Bertha Maurienne

‌Henry and Bertha were married in a religious ceremony on July 13th, 1066.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Konrad, Henry and Agnes of Fanconia.


Henry's second family with Euphraxia of Kiev

‌Henry and Euphraxia of Kiev were married in a religious ceremony in 1089.
