His paternal grandparents are George *Archer I and Mary Sarah Elizabeth *Wood; his maternal grandfather is *Harris. He had two brothers and five sisters, named George, William, Mary, Blanche, Judith, Elizabeth and Margery. He died in Henrico Co.,VA.2 
John and Martha were married in a religious ceremony in 1698 in Henrco Co.,Virginia.3 They had three sons and five daughters, named John Field, Field, William, Frances, Judith, Mary, Martha and Elizabeth.
