Ernst Anton was born on January 2nd, 1784 in Coburg, Sachsen Coburg, Gotha, Thuringia.1 Ernst Anton's father was Francis Frederick and his mother was Augusta Reuss Ebersdorf. His paternal grandparents were Ernest Frederick and Sophia Antonia. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Leopold I Of, Franz Maximilian, Sophie Frederica and Marianne Wettin Saxe. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Duke, Ferdinand George and Victoria Mary.
