Her paternal grandfather was Roman Emperor Valentinian; her maternal grandparents were Roman Emperor Valentinian and Justina. She had a brother and a sister, named Honorius and Galla. She was the oldest of the three children. She had six half-brothers named Clodion, Choldebaud, Clovis The, Arcadius Claudius, Clodion and Clodion Le Poilu.-
