Basine was born in 0445.1 Basine's father was Chlodwig De Cologne and her mother was Basine De Saxe. Her paternal grandmother was Marcomer Lord; her maternal grandfather was Wildelphe De Saxe. She had a sister named Basina. She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Basin, Childebert and Basina. She died at the age of 46 in 0491.1
