Hans Paul was born in 1605 in Westhofen, Rheinhessen. Hans Paul's father is Hans or Johannes Weissheimer and his mother is Mrs. Hans or Johannes Weissheimer. His paternal grandparents are Wendel Weissheimer and Katharina Kaiser. He had a sister named Maria. He was the older of the two children.
