Gerrit Wolfersen Van Couwenhoven 
Gerrit Wolfersen was born in 1610 in Amersfoot, Ultrecht, Holland. Gerrit Wolfersen's father was Wolfert Garretse Van Couwenhoven and his mother was Neeltgen Jacobsdr. His paternal grandparents are Gerritt Jansz Van Couwenhoven and Styne Roberts; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Peterz and Metgen Jacobsdr. He had three brothers named Garret Gerrit Wolferse, Jacob Wolphertse and Pieter Wolphertse. He had four half-brothers named Derick Wolfertsen, Pieter Wolfertsen, Jacob Wolfertsen and Jan Wolfertsen. He died at the age of 38 in 1648 in Flatlands, Kings County, New York.
‌Gerrit Wolfersen and Aeltje Cornelius were married in a religious ceremony about 1635 in Flatlands, Long Island, New York.1 They had a son and a daughter, named Willem Gerretse and Neelje Gerretse.
