ADELA was born in 1067 in NORMANDY.1   ADELA's father was WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' King Of England and her mother was MATHILDA (MAUD) Queen Of England.  Her paternal grandparents were ROBERT II 'THE DEVIL' Duke Of Normandy and HERLEVE (HARLETTE) De FALAISE; her maternal grandparents were BALDWIN V 'THE PIOUS' Count Of Flanders and ADELAIDE (ADELA ALIX) Princess Of France. She had four brothers and five sisters, named ROBERT II 'CURTHOSE', RICHARD, WILLIAM II 'RUFUS', HENRY I 'BEAUCLERC', CECILIA, ADELIZA, CONSTANCE, AGATHA and MATHILDA.  She was the second youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother named WILLIAM 'THE ELDER'.  She died at the age of 70 on March 8th, 1137 in MARCIGNY-SUR-LOIRE, FRANCE.  She was buried in ABBEY OF HOLY TRINITY, CAEN, NORMANDY.1 1
