John Killip 
John was born on September 28th, 1827 in Kirk Onchan, Isle of Man, England. John's father is James Cross Killip and his mother was Ann Christian. His paternal grandparents are William Killip and Ester or Hester Cross; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Christian and Eleanor Lace. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, James, Ann Christian, Eliza, Christian, Jane and Eleanor (Ellen). He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 51 in February 1879.-
