Sarah was born on February 24th, 1687 in Freetown, Bristol, MA. Sarah's father was John Hathaway and her mother was Hannah Anna Burt. Her paternal grandparents were John Hathaway and Martha Shephard; her maternal grandparents were James Burt and Mrs. Anna Burt. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Jacob, Isaac, Ephraim, Thomas, Martha, Hannah, Abigail and Experience. She is the second youngest of the ten children.-
