Matilda was born before August 5th, 1102 in ,London, Middlesex, England.  Matilda's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" England and her mother was Matilda "Atheling" UNKNOWN.  Her paternal grandparents were William I DUKE of Normandy England and Matilda Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III "Canmore" Scotland and Margaret "Atheling" Princess England. She had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Son Prince Of, William "Atheling" Prince, Richard Prince Of, Robert "The KING'S son" De, Robert "The King's, (EARL of Cornwall), Elizabeth Princess Of and Princess Of England.  She died on September 10th, 1169 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.  She was buried in Bec Abbey, Le Bec-Hellouin, Eure, France.
