ROBERT De MORTAIGNE

ROBERT was born in 1035 in NORMANDY.¹   ROBERT's father was HERLEVIN De CONTEVILLE and his mother was HERLEVE (HARLETTE) De FALAISE.  His paternal grandfather is Jean De Conteville; his maternal grandparents are FULBERT 'THE TANNER' De FALAISE and DODA (DODE DUXIA) Concubine Of Fulbert. He had a brother and two sisters, named ODO (EUDES), EMMA and MURIEL.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' and ADELIZA.  He died at the age of 58 on December 8th, 1093.¹ 

‌ROBERT and MATILDA (MAUD) were married in a religious ceremony in 1049.²   They had two sons and three daughters, named HUBERT, WILLIAM De Burgo, DENISE, AGNES and EMMA.
