PHILLIP was born in 1204.1 PHILLIP's father was WILLIAM 'THE YOUNGER' De BRAOSE and his mother was MAUD (MATILDA) De CLARE. His maternal grandparents were RICHARD De CLARE and AMICIA FITZWILLIAM. He had six brothers named JOHN, RICHARD, ANTHONY, GILES, WALTER and WILLIAM. He is the third youngest of the seven children.
