Alix De was born about 1160 in Of, Courtenay, Galinois, France.  Alix De's father was Pierre Emperor Of Constantinople and her mother was Isabelle Elizabeth De Courtenay.  Her paternal grandparents were Louis VI King France and Alix Countess Of Savoy; her maternal grandfather was Renaud (Reginald) Courtenay and her maternal grandmother is Hawise De Donjon. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Peter II De, Robert De, Philippe De, Guillaume De, John De, Tochter De, Eustachia De, Clementia De, daughter and Constance De.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children.  She died in 1218 in France.
