John COFFIN 
John was born about 1512 in Portledge, Devon, England. John's father was Richard Coffin and his mother is Wilmot Chudleigh. His paternal grandparents are John Coffin and Phillippa Hingston; his maternal grandfather was Richard Chudleigh and his maternal grandmother is Maria (Mary) Wadham. He had five brothers and six sisters, named James, Edward, Edward, James, William, Anne, Christian, Elizabeth, Eliz., Johanna and Margaret. He was the oldest of the twelve children.
