Kate Winslow 
Kate was born on September 26th, 1852 in Glasgow, Mo. Kate's father is Charles Henry Winslow and her mother is Martha Hunter. She was an only child. She died at the age of 82 on February 7th, 1935 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska. She was buried in Mount Pleasant C, Nehawka, Ne.General Notes
She was a resident of Lincoln, NE for 32 years and of Nebraska for 72 years. She was prominent in club work, the Grace Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE, the P.E.O. St Leger chapter of the D.A.R. She was interested in early Nebraska history and in the history of the Davis family.
Kate and Stephen Alvis were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1874 in Mount Pleasant Church, Cass Co, Nebr. They had two sons and five daughters, named Charles Wesley, Stephen Winslow, Margaret, Eunice, Alice, Kate Pauline and Ruth Janette.
