Joan De was born about 1233 in , Hertfordshire, England. Joan De's father was William "Fort" De Vivonne and her mother was Maud (Matilda) De Ferrers. Her maternal grandparents were William de Ferrers 7 E Derby and Sibyl Marshall. She had a sister named Cecilia (Cicely) De. She was the older of the two children. She died in 1314.-
