Rhys Ap Thomas [Sir Knight Garter]

Rhys Ap was born in 1449 in Of Maenordeilo, Cantref, Carmarthenshire, Wales and his baptism took place in {Enn Ap Llwrch}.  Rhys Ap's father is Thomas Ap Nicholas Fitz Uryan and his mother is Edith (Or Elizabeth) Griffith.  His paternal grandparents are Griffith Ap Nicholas Fitz Uryan and Joan Llewellin Voythea. He had a brother named Thomas.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 76 in 1525.

They had a son named Gruffud Ap.
