Thomas de was born about 1329 in <, , Northamptonshire, England>.1 Thomas de's father was John I de Sutton and his mother was Isabella de Cherlton. His paternal grandparents were Richard de Sutton and Isabella Patrick; his maternal grandparents were John de Cherlton and Hawis "the Hardy" De La Pole. He had three brothers named John II de, Robert de and Haman. He was the oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Richard le Fisher de, Thomas, John, Richard, Margaret de, Katherine and Matildis. He died after 1369.1 General Notes
