Hamo le Strange 
Hamo le was born in 1232 in Knockin, Shropshire, England.1 Hamo le's father was John III le Strange Lord of Ness and Chesewardine and his mother was Lucy de Tregoz. His paternal grandfather was John II le Strange and his paternal grandmother is Amicia le Strange. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John IV le, Robert le, Roger le, John le, Alice Le, Hawis (Alice), Catherine le, Elizabeth le and Katherine le. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died in Holy Land.1 General Notes

It was found by inquest taken in 1275 that Hamon L'Estrange had enfeoffed Urian de St. Peter of the whole manor of Drayton, Sussex, and that Urian afterwards enfeoffed Robert de Staundon of a fourth part of the manor and Robert was in seisin at Hamon's death. Afterwards, when Urian recovered the manor from the king's hands he delivered his own and Robert's part to Geoffrey de Pichford to farm. [Honors and Knights' Fees, vol. III, as quoted by John P.
