Katherine was born about 1477 in Hooton, Cheshire, England. Katherine's father was William Stanley Knight and her mother was Anne Or Agnes Grosvenor. Her paternal grandfather was William Stanley and her paternal grandmother is Alicia Houghton. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Ann and Isabell.
