Otto "the Illustrious" Duke of was born about 0836 in Saxony, Germany.1   Otto "the Illustrious" Duke of's father was Ludolph Duke of Saxony and his mother was Oda Billung.  His paternal grandfather was Bruno Duke of East Saxony and his paternal grandmother is Oda; his maternal grandparents are Billung of Saxony and Aeda of Franks. He had two sisters named Luitgarde of and Oda of.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Waldrada (Valtrude).  He died on November 30th, 0912 in Memleben,Saxony,Germany.1

‌Otto "the Illustrious" Duke of and Hadwig von were married in a religious ceremony after 0876 in 1st wife.2   They had two sons and a daughter, named 'the Fowler' Emperor of Germany, Liudolf of and Uda (Oda) von.
