Margaret was born about 1401 in Of Clifton, Cheshire, England. Margaret's father was John Savage Knight and her mother was Maud (Matilda) De Swinnerton. Her paternal grandfather is John Savage and her paternal grandmother was Margaret Danyers; her maternal grandfather was Robert Swinnerton sir and her maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Beke. She had four brothers and nine sisters, named William Arnold, George, Roger, John, Maude, Alice, Elizabeth, Blanch, Beatrice, Ann, Parnella, Margery and Ellen. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard and Alice. She died after 1450.-
