Renaud I Seigneur de was born in 0931 in Rheims, Marne, France.1   Renaud I Seigneur de's father was Ct. Herbert II Count of Troyes & Vermandois and his mother was Princess Princess Of France Hildebrante.  His paternal grandparents were I Count of Vermandois Herbert and Beatrice De Morvois Princess of France; his maternal grandparents were King Robert I King of France and Aelis Adele Princess of France. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Robert I Count of Meaux &, Hugh of Vermandois Archbishop, The Pious, Herbert III Count , Count of Meau, Luitgarde (Ledgard) de and Adelaide [Alix] Countess.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named "The Cheat" Count of Blois and Gerlotte of.1
