y is recordedto about 300 A.D. with good accuracy. For you
, starting with Ann MacFarlane1st married in
1737 - Capt. Alexander Dunlap (1712 - 1744).
Capt. Alexander Dunlop built and owned Goshen VA. Their hom
e was frequently visited by the George Rogers Clark family
, GR Clark known as the "hannibal of the west". One ofhi
s relatives, Anne Clark of Augusta co. VA, dtr. of James an
d Elizabeth MacCutcheon Clark married 1761 - one of Capt. A
lex and Anne Dunlap's sons - John Dunlap (1738-1804).  The
y had 7 children, one of which, a dtr., Ann Dunlap(1768-18
50) married in 1800, Robert Bratton (1776 - 1833 - died i
n Clark County KY), son of James Bratton of Lockwood, Montg
omery co. KY, grandson of Capt. Robert Brattton and his wif
e. (the wife is, we presume, Ann MacFarlane,widow of Alexa
nder Dunlap who died in 1744, 2nd married Capt. Robert Brat
ton in 1745). Capt. Robert Bratton was the executor of Alex
. Dunlap and James Dunlap's estates.
Ann Dunlap and Robert Bratton, had children:

**Rufus Dunlap's brother was my GGreat-grandfather Major Du
nlap.
Rufus and Ann Bratton Dunlap had 6 children.

f Davey Crockett, of Bath co. KY to TN, TX
Also, an Alice Dunlap married LynnBrady in 1920.. CA.
Anne MacFarlane (1715 - 1786) Dunlap married Captain Rober
t Bratton of Virginia, in 1745. Alexander Dunlap died in 17
44. who was born in Scotland, and was a daughter of the Chi
ef of Clan MacFarlane whose namewas Caleb; his title was M
acFarlane of MacFarlane. Caleb's grandfather married Christ
ian Campbell, [Clan Campbell] and his Uncle John MacFarlan
e (born 1500's) married Jean Mure, a sister of the first wi
fe of King Robert II of Scotland. Caleb and his two brother
s, Duncan and Daniel.
MacFarlane, came to Brittish-America in 1718. Caleb was th
e last
Chief of the Clan in Scotland; his lands were proscribed an
d he and his
two daughters were forced to flee toPennsylvania. Anne Mac
Farlane
was the great, great, great, great, great-granddaughter o
f Gilchrist, son of Alwyn, second Earl of Lennox. (1225's

Anne McFarland was a daughter of Robt. McFarland and his wi
fe, Esther Houston. Robert McFarland was a soldier in the R
evoultionary War, although he was a very old man. Robt. McF
arland's father, Dun
