John Linch 
John was born in 1755 in Monmouth Co. Nj. John's father was Patrick Linch and his mother was Catharine Elizabeth Chapman. His maternal grandfather is Elijah Chapman. He had three brothers and a sister, named James, Abraham, Samuel and Lena. He died in Monongaila Co., Va (Wv).General Notes
He moved with his family to PA in 1770. He enlisted in the Continental Army in 1776 with his brother James in Franklin Co, PA They lived in Fayette Co PA in 1783. They moved with John's parents to MonogaliaCo VA in 1797
They had six sons and five daughters, named William, Phillip, Pearce, Abraham, James, John Jr., Rachael, Mary, Nancy, Rhonda and Sarah.

Phillip Linch
Phillip was born on May 3rd, 1788 in Fayette, Co., Pa. He died at the age of 76 in 1864 in Franklin Co., Indiana.
