Duke of Lancaster was born in St. Bevon's Abbey ,Ghent, Flanders, Belgium. Duke of Lancaster's father was King of England Edward III and his mother was Philippa of Hainault. His paternal grandparents were Plantagenet, King of England Edward II and Capet Queen of England Isabella; his maternal grandparents were William III D'avesnes ,Cmte d'Hainaut & Holland and Jeanne de Valois. He had four brothers and four sisters, named "The Black Prince" , Prince of Wales, , Duke of Clarence, , Duke of York, Thomas, Isabella, Joan, Mary and Margaret. He died in Leicester Castle, England.
