John Hayes 
John was born on April 8th, 1806 in prob Shelby County, in. John's father was James B. Hayes , Sr and his mother was Sarah. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hayes and Judith Friar. He had four brothers and a sister, named Lewis, William, Hiram, James B. and Phebe Ann. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 61 on July 26th, 1867 in Atchison County, Mo. He was buried in Linden Cemetery, Atchison Co, Mo.1 General Notes
