John Hadley 
John was born on July 5th, 1788 in Chatham County, North Carolina.1 John's father was Thomas Hadley and his mother was Mary Newlin. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Hadley and Ruth Lindley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joshua, Eli, James, William, Hannah, Mary, Ruth and Dinah. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 on October 23rd, 1869 in White Lick, Indiana.1 General Notes
