Osbern was born about 1032 in Normandy, France. Osbern's father is Osborne De Crepon [Steward Of Normandy] and his mother was Emma Aldreda of Ivry. His maternal grandparents are Ralph Count of Ivry and Erneberge Albreda De Caux. He had a brother and two sisters, named William Fitzosbern De, Emma and Weva. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Richard, Robert, William and Alice. Osbern is no longer alive.
