Gerald FitzMaurice was born about 1220. Gerald FitzMaurice's father was Maurice 2nd Baron of Offaly Fitzgerald and his mother is Johanna de Cogan. His paternal grandparents were Gerald Baron of Offaly FitzMaurice and Eve De Bermingham. He had a brother named Thomas FitzMaurice. He had two half-brothers named Maurice FitzMaurice Lord of Offaly and Thomas. He died in 1287 in Gascony.General Notes
