Pheoby was born about 1720 in Chester, Pa. Pheoby's father is John Beals and her mother is Sarah Bowater. Her paternal grandfather is John Beals and her paternal grandmother was Mary Clayton; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bowater and Sarah Edge. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Bowater, John, Mary, Prudence and Sarah. She died on August 19th, 1805 in Surry County, Nc.General Notes
