Henry Barlow 
Henry was born on February 5th, 1785 in Washington Co, Ky. Henry's father was Lewis Barlow and his mother was Judah Frances Smith. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Barlow and his paternal grandmother is Mary Fleshman; his maternal grandfather is Mathias Smith. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Blewford, Jeremiah, William, Jane Rebecca, Mary and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 84 on April 11th, 1869 in Tombstone according to Barlow Newsletter. He was buried in Rising Sun Cem.1 General Notes
Around 1809 Henry moved to Adair Co, KY with his parents and wererecorded there in the 1810 census. He moved to Indiana with his parentsabout 1820 and is recorded in the 1820 Deleware Co (now Shelby Countycensus. He is recorded in the 1830, 1840 & 1850 censuses in JacksonTownship in Shelby County, Indiana). He moved to Polk County Iowa aboutJune1852 ( re: Thomas' bio in history of Polk County 1880) and isenumerated in the Iowa 1856 & 1860 census.
HIs first wife (Mary Dawson) died about 1820 , and he married MahalaKinslo (1801-1857) in on Nov 5, 1821.

(2 men between ages 24-44) Henry age35, b in 1785 and another male ? brother, farm laborer?) one male under10, (John, age 4 born in 1814) One male between 10-15 (Lewis, age 8,born on Aug 18, 1812, (1850 census source)( or age 14 if born in1806-gravestone source) (Where are Henry b.1816 and Benjamin b. 1819 KYsome have as his sons??) No females listed (first wife dead, notmarried to Mahala yet.)

1856 CENSUS of 4 Mile Twp, Polk County, Iowa shows Henry,67, Mary 55(Mahala) Bird17, William15, ( Oliver14, Manda12,) and Jesse 23. allchildren born in Indiana and parents born in Kentucky. Oliver and Mandawere not in the 1850 census so probably not Henry's children. His sonThomas E, 26, b IN, farmer, lives next door with Louisa, 24.
1860 CENSUS June 19, 1860, Four Mile Tpk, Polk Cko, Iowa
Henry is enumerated at household 488/439 as a farmer with $3,200 of realestate and $600 personal property. Aat the same household is his sonThomas, listed at T.E. and Thomas's wife Louisa, age 30, their dau Mary Fand John Barlow, age 13, b. IN. Both Mary & John are attending school
